Please help us welcome Melanie Lieb to Art on the Ave. Melanie is a visual artist working in multiple media including painting, jewelry, sculpture, ceramic and installation. Born in 1975 and raised in the suburbs of Chicago IL, Melanie left home to study at The Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and then transferred to The School of the Art institute of Chicago where she primarily focused on painting and drawing.
Melanie has participated in many group and solo exhibitions over the years in several states including Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Hawaii, and New Mexico. A resident of Spokane since 2014, she has been included in shows with Terrain, Artfest, Bazarre, The Liberty Gallery, Hatch, Object space, Kolva-Sullivan Gallery and The Saranac Art-projects among other local venues. Melanie is currently a member of the Saranac Art-Projects and The Urban art co-op. Melanie let us know that she has also been fortunate enough to have an artist profile written in the Spokesman review , Spokane Coeur d’Alene living magazine and Spokane Faith and Values as well as recently speaking on Art Hour.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars… Art on the Ave, Saturday, September 30, will take place between Madelia and Napa Streets on East Sprague Avenue (1700-1900 Blocks), Spokane, 99202. Art on the Ave will be kicked-off with a grand reopening ceremony for East Sprague Avenue at noon and festivities will continue until 9 PM (Art Exhibits close at 6 PM, Live Music extends until 9 PM).
