Christina Marie’s early childhood had started out as any ordinary life out in a little country town called LaCenter, WA. Christina was born and raised by two Christian parents and her family regularly attended church. It was while she was in church at the age of just seven that Christina started to take an interest in art. Fixated by her sister’s drawing of a goat on a cliff, Christina became determined to rise to the level of artistic talent displayed by her older siblings. She tells us that she spent countless hours creating drawing after drawing.
In the spring of 2009, Christina enrolled in the art program at SFCC. Her first oil painting, “Sunset on the Beach,” was labeled by her instructor as a “gem.” Over the past six years Christina skills have continued to increase. The subjects of her early paintings were nature and landscapes, but in the summer of 2012, she felt that her heart was moved from painting nature and landscapes to the pursuit of Christian scenes.
God is the inspiration behind her recent paintings and it is through the Bible that she gains insight regarding what to paint including The Four Horses of the Apocalypse from the book of Revelation.
